Under the new Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) scheme, your energy supplier in Epsom pays you for every unit of electricity your solar electricity system generates, whether you use the electricity in your home or export it to the national grid.
As the Feed-in-Tariff rates will decline over time, Solar Impact has launched it's super fast install to help as many customers as possible in the Epsom area benefit from the higher FiT payments.
The FiT tariffs are also indexed linked – linked to the Retail Price Index (RPI) as a measure of inflation - your investment in this green renewable energy technology will ensure you profit when global oil prices rise.
After April 2012 the Feed-in-Tariff rate will decline by 8.5% every year, meaning you won´t get as high a rate for every unit of electricity your system generates compared to the rate you will receive if you install one between now and or before 1st April 2012 when the Generation Tariff will decrease
If Solar Impact install your solar electricity (PV) system (as we are MCS Approved installers) you are eligible to receive the Feed-in-Tariff then you will benefit in 3 ways:
Generation Tariff – a set rate paid by the energy supplier for each unit (or kWh) of electricity you generate. This rate will change each year for new entrants to the scheme (except for the first 2 years), but once you join you will continue on the same tariff for 25 years in the case of solar electricity (PV) at the moment the rate is 43.3 pence per kilowatt hour
Export Tariff - you will receive a further 3.1p/kWh from your energy supplier for each unit you export back to the electricity grid, that is when it isn't used on site.
Energy Bill Savings – you will be making savings on your electricity bills , because generating electricity to power your appliances means you don't have to buy as much electricity from your energy supplier. The amount you save will vary depending how much of the electricity you use on site.
